Javier M. Paredes received his Ph. D. degree from the Technische Universitaet Darmstadt, Germany, in 2009. He was with the Communication Systems Group, Darmstadt, Technische Universitaet, as Postdoctoral Fellow until March, 2011. Dr. Paredes received the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship for Ph.D. studies in 2005. His research interests are focused on signal processing for communications with the particular emphasis on space-time coding, cooperative communications and MIMO communication systems.
